It is with great pleasure that I am presenting the attached portfolio in support of my application for a certified teaching position. This portfolio outlines my growth and skills acquired through my matriculation in the Educational Studies Program at Spelman College, six years total of teaching experience, and my time teaching overseas in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

 

I currently possess a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Development from Spelman College.  I also hold a Master of Education Degree in Instructional Technology from Strayer University. 

 

"Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” This quote by Malcolm X is the catalyst behind my passion for education. I aspire to instill an intrinsic interest for success in my future students through education.

 

The attached portfolio includes my teaching experience, philosophy of education, lower and upper primary experience, classroom management plan, and instructional resources and materials.
